NetSapiens User Group Meeting Actionable Takeaways

As Gold Sponsors of NetSapiens User Group Meeting 2019, GreenStar Solutions joined over 50 other companies, sponsors, and vendors of the NetSapiens community in beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico at the end of March 2019. We had the pleasure of meeting several service providers in all walks of the business. Networking with old and new friends was the perfect way to spend our evenings. Equally important, through learning sessions we dove deeper into NetSapiens’ unified communications platform and what the future holds on their roadmap.

NetSapiens User Group Meeting: Surviving in a Digital Landscape

One major thing we took away from NetSapiens User Group Meeting is that providers are serious about surviving the digital landscape. Being a service provider is more competitive now than ever. If you don’t evolve with changes in the selling landscape, you are signing your companies death certificate. Those that do evolve have to continue evolving to keep up with new trends and marketing techniques that help their business stand out from the crowd. During UGM, we had the opportunity to talk with many providers who are successfully surviving and even growing in the digital landscape.

Social Media

Social Media is playing a big part in companies/persons becoming thought leaders in the Telecommunications industry. While at NetSapiens User Group Meeting we gathered from a handful of providers that Social Media is playing a part in their larger marketing plans. Reddit specifically is the place to go for MSPs looking to stay at the top of their market. Additionally, Facebook allows companies to reach a huge audience. Through geo-targeting and remarketing they get in front of local people or businesses looking for their services in real time.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

In addition to Social Media, and in our opinion even more important than, is Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the next generation of prospecting. It’s a long-term marketing strategy that really pays off. Many companies we spoke to at NetSapiens User Group Meeting are wondering why their website isn’t working like it should. We performed several brief website health checks while we were in Puerto Rico. The one thing that continued standing out is a lack of or minimal Search Engine Optimization.

Educate to Differentiate

The other big takeaway from NetSapiens User Group Meeting is the empowerment that service providers are desperate for. Providers want to know the products they sell in greater detail so that they are able to educate their end users. As a result, empowered providers are capable of differentiating from their competitors.

During several UGM sessions, NetSapiens discussed the ramping up of their training and even offering a certificate course in the near future. That was music to their clients ears, as many brought up the want for further training.

In short, we had an awesome time in San Juan meeting many new friends and connecting with old ones. Strolling the beach and old San Juan brought a relaxation that fueled the networking fire. NetSapiens UGM set the stage for innovation and we look forward to the future of their SNAPsolution.

Thank you to our hosts for an excellent event!
